S.M. Kirkland, author of “The Disturbed,” “The Disposable,” “Higher Honor” and others believes everyone has a story and has made a life based on this philosophy. As an award-winning journalist, she delighted in sharing other’s stories in personal features. As a speech therapist, she helps others tell their own stories and as a novelist, she tells stories of strength, grace, and courage in gritty, real-life situations. She lives on a small farm in Northwest Georgia with her husband and a tri-paw named Saki. She and her husband have three adult children and one granddaughter.
