Griping supernatural journey-The Wringler doesn’t disappoint

I’m currently reading “The Wringler: A Letter from Home” by Daniel Swarthourt. It’s a supernatural thriller that is well written with good pacing. Great cliffhangers between storylines that sometimes made me glare at the book. . .but it also kept me reading.

The story follows Tatum, a young man who goes NC with everyone following the death of his fiance, Brooklyn. After seven years, as his new life starts to feel normal, he receives a letter from Brooklyn, calling him back home. The letter contains her engagement ring, which had been buried with her.

It’s a supernatural thriller with danger lurking everywhere as Tatum tries to find the truth behind Brooklyn’s death. While he’s searching for the truth, a detective works to solve a brutal murder of a woman and understand the circumstances behind his partner’s death.

The book has a lot of characters and each chapter is named from the POV character, which helps keep the story lines straight. We see how this creepy entity wrecks havoc and discord in the lives of those surrounding Tatum and even people he doesn’t know. BTW, if you don’t fall in love with Tatum’s beloved dog, Cherokee, you are not my people.

If you like knowing more about the authors, I first heard Daniel on The Confessionals podcast, Episode 683 “The Curse of Zany.” I don’t often make spontaneous purchases, but I went immediately to Amazon and bought “The Wringler: A letter from Home” and have no regrets. This is a great book especially if you really like speculative/faith-filled fiction.
